TEAM UP for Children Initiative Expands
December 17, 2019
Building on the success of TEAM UP for Children to improve access to pediatric mental health services and provide earlier care by integrating evidence-based behavioral health services into the primary care clinics of community health centers, we are pleased to announce the selection of four additional health centers for Phase II of the initiative.
We are partnering with The Klarman Family Foundation to fund the Phase II planning and implementation.
Joining the initial cohort of Codman Square Health Center, The Dimock Center, and Lowell Community Health Center, are new health centers:
- Brockton Neighborhood Health Center
- DotHouse Health
- Greater New Bedford Community Health Center
- South Boston Community Health Center
Since TEAM UP’s launch in 2016, the program has served 19,000 children. With this expansion, the goal is to reach 21,000 more children by 2023 so that 1 in 4 children using Massachusetts federally qualified health centers will benefit from early identification and treatment of behavioral health concerns.
